This Economy Is Getting Us Nowhere – But This Isn’t Stopping the GOP from Gutting Wisconsin’s Traditions
We Need to Stop Them
Last week it came out in the Milwaukee Journal that under the over two years of the Walker administration, only 62,000 new jobs have been created, well short of the 250,000 jobs he promised when he ran for governor.
It’s worse than that. Our friend Chris Liebenthal in his blog pointed out that since Walker’s budget was passed in 2011, only 30,000 Wisconsinites took on new jobs. The other roughly 30,000 happened under Jim Doyle’s budget. This is a keeper. The numbers you need are all there. . . continue reading

This Saturday, Move to Amend, United Wisconsin and our grassroots partners are launching the petition drive in Wauwatosa.
Starting this Saturday, May 11th, United Wisconsin’s/MTA’s volunteer office located at 7026 W North Ave in Wauwatosa is open from 10am to 4pm, and will be hosting door-to-door canvasses. There are two shifts available: 10am and 1pm. A shift will only last around 2 hours. We will have all the supplies you need and ready when you arrive, so after a brief training, you will be out making the difference in Wauwatosa. If you’re the type of person that believes that in order to restore our democracy for the people we must take back our elections from big money special interests, then now is your chance to be heard. Remember, 80% of the US public believes in reversing “a corporation is a person and money is speech. This is a unifying issue, FOR A CHANGE. Just ask, “Do you want to get big money out of politics?” People will LOVE you for doing this! It is a unifying issue, it will restore our democracy, AND we are no longer on the defensive, but we are telling them what the agenda is going to be. Don’t you love it? Time to step up and help Tosa and when we run our drive in July, they will help us.
